Sugar Bush Camp

 Zeezibahkwat, the processed sugar of the Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple), is a staple food

that in years past sustained Ojibwe families through the long, cold winters. Sugar is a basic food that

suplpies energy and maple sugar tastes delicious. Ojibwe people added zeezibahkwat to many commonplace 

and ceremonial foods.
