MIGIZI Communications hires new Recruitment and Retention Specialist

We are pleased to announce that Nicole DeCoteau-Vause has joined the team at MIGIZI Communications, specifically recruiting students for the Native Youth Futures and Green Jobs Pathways programs, and, through retention, encouraging the deepening of their engagement in programming as they create their futures. Nicole is from South St. Paul, MN and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and is currently working on her Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services. She has over three years of experience working in the American Indian community, providing outreach services and case management to youth ages 11-21 years old.

She enjoys spending her free time outside when it is warm, being with family and friends, and taking care of her puppy Tucker.

Says Nicole, “I am motivated to work with youth so that I can be a mentor for them and create a place for them to empower their own voices and be heard in their communities. Youth are our future and I want to be able to provide them with the resources and information about education, jobs, finances, health, etc. that I did not receive when I was young.”

You can reach Nicole DeCoteau-Vause at 612-721-6631 x202 or nicole@migizi.org
